International training on human development in tourism opened in Addis Ababa

An international training on the human development in the field of tourism was opened on Monday (January 5) in Addis Ababa aimed to address the shortage of skilled personnel in the country’s tourism sector. Ethiopia’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced that the training is being provided to 200 experts, tour operators, travel agencies and leaders in the sector the training by a group of trainers from various American institutions. Gezahegn Abate, Public Relations Head at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, said the training was organized by a budget secured from the World Bank through the Tourism for Sustainable Development Project, stating that the training will increase the number of skilled personnel and help the Ministry meet its goal for 2020.
